Project Header

This past 2014 season, I felt very drawn to the emotion of soccer. The subtext, if you will, of the blood, sweat, and tears visible during the game. Being that close to the action, I'd find myself looking through my lens trying to see closer. Eventually, I snapped the photo. And then another. And another. And pretty soon I had a collection of in mid-game photographs that were more portraits than journalism.

I've been stuck on this project for quite some time now and I'm so pleased with how it turned out and where it is to go. It feels personal and real and that's really what I hope comes across, through these and the ones I catch in 2015.
